Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents Group

Group Therapy for Adults Healing from Emotionally Immature Parents

If you were raised by emotionally immature, self-focused, unpredictable, or emotionally unavailable parents, you may have learned early on to stay calm, keep the peace, minimize your needs, or manage the emotions of the adults around you.

Even if your childhood is years behind you, those patterns can still shape how you relate to yourself and others today. You may struggle with people-pleasing, self-doubt, emotional exhaustion, guilt, over-functioning, or difficulty trusting your own needs.

This therapy group is designed for adults who want to better understand the lingering impact of emotionally immature parenting and begin building healthier boundaries, stronger self-trust, and more authentic relationships.

You May Relate If...

  • Grew up feeling responsible for other people’s emotions

  • Learned to keep the peace, stay quiet, or avoid conflict

  • Struggle with people-pleasing or saying “no”

  • Often second-guess your feelings, needs, or decisions

  • Feel guilty when you set boundaries

  • Tend to over-function or hold everything together

  • Have a harsh inner critic or feel like you are “too sensitive”

  • Long for closeness but fear being too much, needy, or difficult

  • Feel emotionally exhausted in family or relationship dynamics

  • Want to understand how your childhood still affects your adult relationships

If these experiences feel familiar, you are not alone. This group offers a supportive space to better understand where these patterns came from, reduce self-blame, and begin practicing new ways of relating to yourself and others.

In This Group You Will...

This group offers a supportive space to make sense of your past, understand how those patterns show up in the present, and begin practicing new ways of relating to yourself and others.
